Children from other kindergartens are welcome. Pinokio KindergartenPinokio Kindergarten was established in March 1994. It is led by Izabela Florysiak. Our kindergarten has been entered in the Register of Non-public Kindergartens kept by the Warsaw Board of Education. It is also monitored by a Sanitary and Epidemiological Station. Our kindergarten is well-equipped with toys and teaching materials. We employ qualified teachers with 15-year work experience in working with young children. We are open to various pedagogical methods which enable us to provide children we take care of with the best conditions for physical, mental and social development.
We provide child-care in safe and hygienic conditions. Our nurse consults diets and monitors menus and meal preparation. She also controls room cleanliness.
The kindergarten offers child-care for children aged 2 to 6. We organise educational activities in groups of 3 to 4 children, to which we assign children according to their developmental abilities, and not developmental age. In this way, children with various abilities are given the chance of full development.
In the educational process we focus on creating a positive self-image and self-respect as well as to understanding and respecting others. A newly accepted child can play with his/ her mother in the room until he/ she gets to know the tutors, other children, toys and all the rooms in the kindergarten. Every day, parents can inform the tutor about any matters connected with the child. Similarly, the tutor can provide the parents with information on the child’s achievements or any difficulties he/she faces. In our kindergarten, children, tutors and parents form together one big family; if someone leaves, everyone misses them.
Our main educational objective is to teach through playing. We are trying to achieve it during all activities, including:1. English classes - 4 times a week
The English course syllabus is tailored to the abilities of preschool age children and it is based on the textbook "CAROUSEL" by Jackie Holderness and Anie Hughes, recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as on the textbook "BALLONS" by Mario Herrera and Barbara Hojel. The main objective of the course is to arouse children’s interest in the English language. It also aims at creating a feeling that learning a foreign language can be a pleasant and creative activity. The use of Polish during the lessons is limited to a minimum, which helps in making children think in English without translating everything. Parents are informed on a regular basis about the progress.
